THE WIDOWS OF SAN PEDRO
Pictured below are 24 widows ("viudas") who are currently being sponsored or have been sponsored by individuals through Mission San Pedro. Sponsorship is a one year commitment of one dollar a day to support a widow. With the help of sponsors, widows can count on bi-monthly food baskets which provide them with enough protein and fresh fruits and vegetables for their daily nutritional needs.
We have done our best to provide our widows with basic needs. Many have died since we started our program and we leave their pictures here in memoriam. They are Marta viuda de Mendez, Gertrudis viuda de Tuch, Alejandra viuda de Quiacain, Manuela viuda de Petzey, Elena viuda de Gonzalez, Gertrudis viuda de Navichoc, Jesus viuda de Chavajay, Julia viuda de Quiche and Rosa viude de Mendez
